Eaton’s Cooper Power Systems introduces underground cable accessory technology in Vietnam.

On November 6, 2025, Eaton’s Cooper Power Systems, in collaboration with My Phuong Trading Co., Ltd. – the official authorized distributor of Eaton in Vietnam – successfully organized a specialized seminar titled “New Technology with Three-Layer Design in Medium-Voltage Underground Cable Accessories” at Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVNHCMC).

The event attracted more than 60 technical personnel from 22 organizations, including power companies under EVNHCMC, Tay Ninh Power Company, industrial park investors (Becamex, VSIP, etc.), as well as many electrical contractors and EPC companies.This was an opportunity for engineers, technical specialists, and supervisors to network, exchange experience, and update the latest technologies in the field of medium-voltage underground cable accessories.

Introduction to the three-layer cold shrink underground cable joint technology – a solution to enhance reliability for underground power networks.

At the seminar, experts from Eaton’s Cooper Power Systems presented the cold shrink technology with an integrated three-layer design (stress control – semi-conductive – insulation), significantly improving insulation performance, reliability, and installation convenience.

Key products introduced during the seminar program include:

• Cold Shrink Resin Joint Kit for underground cable joints
• Cold Shrink Termination Kit for underground cable terminations
• Elbow cable termination (T-Plug)

Not limited to theoretical presentations, the program also featured a live installation demonstration conducted directly by Eaton experts, allowing participants to experience the installation process firsthand and clearly observe the outstanding advantages of the products.

The seminar provided a wealth of useful information and practical support for the operation, investment, and development of the underground power grid in Ho Chi Minh City in particular and Vietnam in general, toward a modern, safe, reliable, and sustainable direction.
