Project Information
- Project Name: Construction of Control Centers for Quang Binh, Phu Yen, and Dak Nong Power Companies (EVNCPC)
- Investor: Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC)
- Locations: Quang Binh Province, Phu Yen Province, and Dak Nong Province
- Implementation period: 2016
In 2016, My Phuong Trading Co., Ltd. participated in the implementation of the project “Construction of Control Centers” for three provinces—Quang Binh, Phu Yen, and Dak Nong—under the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC), in cooperation with the Central Power Testing Company (CPC ETC).
From September 14, 2016 to September 28, 2016, My Phuong Company organized training and technology transfer on Survalent SCADA software at the headquarters of CPC ETC for technical staff from the Dispatching, Information Technology, and Engineering departments of Quang Binh, Phu Yen, and Dak Nong Power Companies under the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC). The training program involved 30 technical specialists and focused on the following topics: an overview of the Survalent SCADA system; software licensing and installation procedures; database development and management; HMI operation interface design; as well as monitoring, control, and practical operation of the SCADA system.
The objective of the training program was to enable engineers and SCADA specialists of the Power Companies to fully master the technology, with the capability to independently design, configure, and operate Control Centers, as well as expand the system in subsequent phases.
Immediately after the training course, SCADA engineers from the Power Companies worked in coordination with CPC ETC and My Phuong Company to implement the construction of Control Centers in Quang Binh, Phu Yen, and Dak Nong. At the same time, SCADA connections were established with 110 kV substations and medium-voltage network equipment using international standard communication protocols such as IEC 60870-5-101/104 and DNP3.0.
With close supervision and strict schedule requirements from EVNCPC, all three Control Centers were completed, tested, and officially put into operation by the end of 2016. The project contributed to improving dispatching and operational monitoring capabilities, as well as gradually modernizing the power grid in Quang Binh, Phu Yen, and Dak Nong provinces.
